You are in this society for 35 years, so I'm not sure what's your objective of being on this forum...Anyway about your observation on Visa spill over, what you are saying is 180 different tha what other lawyers are saying, they are saying until 2007 DOS was reading the law differently so India was getting the spillover Visas, now they have started reading it differently hence India is not getting more than 7% Visas now, it is very obvious, from EB-3 India being in Oct-2001 for last 2 years, and EB-2 haven't seen any substantial movement either....Also you seems to be straying from the original intent of the thread...Very well written. I can tell you through my observations of living in this society for 35 years:

Asking help from Senator Sessions for your G-card is like asking help from Bil Ladan to wipe out islamic terrorism. I w'd be extremely curious to read his reponse if you get one at all.
This guy was talking about benefits of legal immigration and introducing Canada/Australia style G-card system only a few weeks ago when law makers were discussing illegal immigration. When it came to legal immigration, then he stood against it like a wall of ice. Talk of people using divide and rule, he is the perfect example of that.
On a sad note, it seems even Dems are doing the same thing. When Cornyn wanted to put our bill in India Nuke bill, Joe Biden said dems will take that up along with CIR next jan. Same old game of promises and betrayal. Now even dems will not be taking up CIR next year as this has been turned into a very sentimental issue now by Lou dobbs and his xenophobic racist gang. Did not you see Nancy Pelosi's agenda for january? They are worried about their presidential and house races in 2008 and don't want to take any chance. Harry Reid might say this is one of the first things on his agenda next year and Tad Kennedy and McCain might keep meeting and talking over a cup of tea, but we have seen all this drama so many times that it does not thrill us any more.
Bottomline, we are not needed the way we used to be in '70s and '80's and so be contended with the current pace of g-card processing. If you have patience and luck, stay here, else leave.

It's definetly a shock and an usual post on these forums. I am spellbound by the support you are getting from the forum members. I am seeing the humanitarian attitude all around praying for your health. This should bring change about the way you think about your health. You are fighting against an enemy- the prognosis you got from the doctors. The only option left for you is winning against the enemy no matter what it takes. The foremost thought you should inculcate is that you are winning against the enemy. That's it. I believe the will power will definetly take you out of the fatal disease.
I know it is hard but try concentrating more on your health than other things including your family members. Hopefully generous IV members will do something for your family which probably can be done in our limits. Whereas it is you who has to fight against the disease and so you got to take care of your health first.

The guy Affirmatively said "It will be June 2002" and gave me red because the dates i gave were behind , Ithought it was funny because we are all playing the prediction game.....

I think you have already decided to send flowers to make more impact change the message from "Get well soon" which I don't think anybody is going to get, send something "You have screwed my life, I hope you have a good day".
Again people.. please read the previous posts! The flowers should only contain the get well or sympathy messages. The rest will be taken care of in our letter to the media!

We are making great progress on this and glad to see tonnes of positive responses. For the people who are viewing this thread first time, please send your name, e-mail, ph number and the amount you are willing to contribute ( in case of a lawsuit ) to man-woman-and-gc who is graciously collecting information for us and adding them in the below spreadsheet. If you really wanted to correct the so called misinformation I am spreading why do you have to start with things like "IV member know that you don't want to volunteer"? Is this is supposed to intimidate me or you just trying to spin information for your own cause?
Please understand that I am not against what IV stands for and what the members do. What I don't agree with is the way some immature Senior members do by loosing their cool. Cutting off peoples thoughts and ideas in not right. I would go futher to make a bold suggestion, " IV has to screen these so called senior members for maturity before making them members who carry the message"
I am not blaming anyone here, but moderation in their temper is expected off the senior members in any place not just in this forum. Intimedation and threats have always resulted in the downfall of the whole group, history would teach us that.

Now I am waiting for my 485 receipt and my wife 485,EAD receipts. How it is possible without 485 receipts, I got EAD and AP receipts.

local chapters....I have been part to two chapters but not seeing any communication happening around. On one chapter last communication is on June 2010 with 170 members and on another chapter last communication is on Dec 2010 with 9 members.
Local chapters need to be as active as IV forum to engage their members to take part actively.

My checks cashed. Mailed I485-EB2, EAD, AP on June 29th, reached USCIS - NSC on July 2nd 10:25 am by Fedex. Checks cashed on 8/3 - Still not be able to see the back side of the image for RD etc. My I-140 was approved last year from TSC.

Based on my brief experience with the American legal system (i.e., my greedy blood-sucking incompetent immigration lawyer), I don't think I want to get entangled in the American legal system.

Any lobbying for immigration is tough at the time of recession. I think you are trying to do advocacy effort. Without getting approval from core IV group it will not be any use as advocacy effort only will not work. Senators will note your concerns and will act only if some bill is introduced. You need lobbying with advocacy effort for changing any law. Lobbyists will lobby only at right time as if they do in wrong time it will backfire.

1) Mr.Obama (Change) alone don't have to do something about it? he can direct his DHS and CIS people to do their jobs right.. just because of economy is bad that does not mean people stop eating and kids stop going school.
2) We and institutions like IV needs to come up with agenda to lift this country quota ban (at least to eleminate this huge backlog)
3) IV says they have agenda but nobody knows what thier laundry list is.
4) We need to work for lifting this country quota ... this is the only way out.

However if someone takes the company to court based on "Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986" vs hiring an H1B, how can the company legally defend itself against this law ?
