By the way if we have 20,000 members and even if each pledge $5, we can reimburse the core team expenses. How often we have to teach and tell the Math to our so called highly skilled free riders.
Some should be feeling really guilty for using IV and not contributing till now. Come out the stingy attitude and help.

I have created a Shared Spreadsheet with the list of people who have pledged in favor of this effort.

Everyone can view it, but unfortunately, i didn'y think it was ideal for everyone to edit. I will be more than happy to grant Edit access to a few more folks who are willing to help. Also, from security point of view, i think we should add our IV handle instead of real name. Since we have email ID's and ph#, we can be in touch as soon as it it time for action.

Also, I just learnt (through this forum) about 'hold'. Senator Sessions had put a 'hold' (a non-written tradition needing consent to raise in the senate) on the Cornyn bill.
Is that only for the lameduck session? Or is it true in general? Can senators put a 'hold' on a matter in any senate session? If that is true, then Senator Sessions can never even let this matter come up in senate in 2007 (and after.)
No I think it was only for the Lame Duck session. If it were to be for all sessions, no law would ever be able to pass, because in a democracy, it is an almost impossible feat to obtain unanimous vote!

i think it is very clear empirically that h1b is for a temp job and is a non-immigrant visa. it allows the employer to hire for a full time job too... whenever that intention is expressed, it should be expressed to DOL and USCIS in terms of PERM and I-140... thats that... once the h1 visa beneficiary is a beneficiary to I-140, then that person can apply for COS and avail AC21... so, i think it is clear that by itself h1 is temp. AC21 simply allows for h1 holder to extend H1 in case labor is clear and 140 is applied (labor expires in 6 months). further: ac21 allows job change after 485 app.

Curious Techie..Core is you and me and dont post such things..but for the core EB-2 would not have been in a postion that it is today..they worked to get this done...you can request them in thier next meeting to bring this issue with USCIS\

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.

Hi SKK, it is not really required to have finger printed to get teh EAD approval. (i am talking aboutthe first time EAD). Your FP may come later on. At least in my case it was like that. I got my EAD approval first and later on only the FP came. Hope this helps ...
